STRIX #5
Hello! and thank you for dropping by.
Submissions for issue #5 of Strix are now open. You can send us work any day in September.
The issue will publish in early November 2018, and we're looking to fill it with short fiction and poetry.
We’re open to all styles and all genres.
Because we’re a print magazine, we have to limit the length of work you can send us: up to 1,500 words of short fiction, and three poems of a maximum of 40 lines each.
It would also help is hugely if you could abide by these five rules—we run Strix in our spare time, so the less time we spend on admin and the more time we spend immersing ourselves in your work the better!
1. The only thing we care about is the quality of the writing: we read submissions blind. So don’t put anything on your work that identifies you (including your email address)
2. Attach each piece of work as a separate document, with the document saved as the name of the piece (this_be_the_verse.doc for example)
3. Please list the titles of the pieces you're sending in the body of the email
4. Each piece's title must appear at the top of the page
The work must be your own, and it must not have appeared in print or online (including blogs) before.
Thank you for taking the time to follow these guidelines—we're excited about reading your work.
